Greenville, SC – The South Carolina women’s golf team is in fourth place after one round of the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina. The Lady Gamecocks fired a team score of 14-over par 302 on Friday, and trail North Carolina and Furman by seven strokes.

Sophomore Tiffany Catafygiotu leads the way for the Lady Gamecocks after firing a one-over 73. Catafygiotu is in a tie for seventh place and is just three shots back of the lead. Freshman Erica Battle (playing as an individual only) shot a two-over par 74 and is in a tie for 12th place.

Junior Kory Thompson fired a three-over 75 and is a tie for 21st place. Senior All-American Kristy McPherson is in a tie for 27th place after firing a four-over par 76. Junior Marci Robinson is in a tie for 39th place after firing a 78, and junior Adrienne Gautreaux is in a tie for 58th place after shooting an eight-over par 80.

North Carolina and Furman are in a tie for first place, each with a score of 295. Tulane is third place, one stroke back of the lead with 296, while South Carolina is in fourth place with a 302. Louisville and Mississippi are in a tie for fifth place, each with a score of 303.

Ashley Prange of North Carolina leads the individual field with a score of two-under par 70. Carolin Landmann of Tulane, Jenny Gleason of North Carolina Greensboro, and Abby Spector of North Carolina are all in a tie for second place, each with a score of one-under par 71. Jennifer Bridwell of College of Charleston and Alison Wright of Louisville are in a tie for fifth place each firing an even-par 72.
