Danielle Wiggins and Ayako Suzuki fell to the 22nd ranked duo of Nathalie Roels and Sarah Witten of Kentucky 8-3. Roels and Witten were also the No. 2 seed in the ITA SouthEast Regional.

The loss was the first on the season for Wiggins and Suzuki in doubles competition. They fell to 4-1 on the season. The duo defeated Viktoria Gruber and Sumitra Rao of Memphis 8-3 Friday to face Roels and Witten in the round of 16. Wiggins and Suzuki received a bye in the first round of the tournament.

The South Carolina Women’s Tennis team will return to action next week when they host the Southern Intercollegiate Tournament from November 1st thru the 3rd.
