Fresno, Ca. – Fresno – The USC Equestrian team finished third overall in the California Division 1 Equestrian Classic behind Auburn and Oklahoma State on Saturday. The huntseat team was second behind Auburn and the western team tied for fifth with Georgia. Sophomore Tara Brothers won the championship flat class and was named second in the jumping championship. She won both sections of her flat and fences classes.

Senior Brooke Spitzer won her section of hunt seat flat. Sophomore Kerrie Reeves was second in western horsemanship. “We had a good day overall,” Coach Duncan said. “The horses were fun and the atmosphere was exciting all day. Our team had a few mental errors in both hunt seat and western but as a whole, we rode well. I was proud of the team’s effort”
