USC Releases Academic Report for Fall Semester, 2002
The overall grade point average for University of South Carolina student-athletes continues to remain steady, as the athletics department released its academic report for the 2002 fall semester on Thursday. The overall team GPA for 457 student-athletes was 2.823, which was consistent with the average from a year ago of 2.865.
Eight teams recorded a GPA of 3.0 or higher, led by the women’s golf team at 3.532. Other squads exceeding the 3.0 mark included women’s swimming (3.377), men’s tennis (3.297), women’s soccer (3.283), men’s swimming (3.233), men’s golf (3.152), softball (3.071), and women’s tennis (3.028). The football team’s GPA was a 2.381.
The overall GPA for full-time students at USC was a 3.01 for the recently completed fall semester.
