The latest USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 preseason poll was released Wednesday and the South Carolina Gamecocks moved up to No. 16. The Gamecocks moved up four places from their last ranking at No. 20.
USC is 7-4 and is 2-3 against ranked teams so far this season. Carolina will face at least two more top 25 teams this weekend when they play in the Lead-Off Classic in Columbus, Ga. USC is scheduled to play No. 5 Washington on Fri., Feb. 21 at noon and No. 15 Michigan on Sat., Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m.
