After going 2-1 in the NFCA Lead-Off Classic last weekend, South Carolina (9-5) retains its No. 16 rank for the second week. The Gamecocks posted impressive wins against Temple and No. 15 Michigan in the tournament.

In addition to the USA Today/ NFCA poll, collegiate softball now has another rankings list. ESPN.com and USA Softball have come together to create the ESPN.com/ USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll. The poll debuted on Feb. 25 and the Gamecocks garnered the No. 16 spot.

The Gamecocks hit the road this weekend as they travel to Plant City, Fla., for the University of South Florida Strawberry Festival Tournament. USC will battle Troy State at 3:00 p.m. and Western Michigan at 7:00 p.m. on Feb. 28, Central Michigan at 11:00 a.m. and Oakland (MI) at 1:00 p.m. on March 1 and Virginia Tech at 1:00 p.m. on March 2.
