Auburn, Ala. – Sophomore men’s diver Andy Bradley qualified for the NCAA Championships on Friday afternoon with a second place finish on the one-meter board at the Zone B Championships in Auburn, Ala. Bradley finished with a score of 700.45 and is the first USC diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships. South Carolina’s women’s divers will compete at 4:30 p.m. ET on the three-meter board. It will be the women’s first attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

This is the second consecutive year Bradley has qualified for the NCAA Championships. As a freshman at BYU, Bradley earned honorable mention All-American honors with a 16th place finish on the one-meter board. Bradley had two fourth place finishes at the SEC Championships this year.

Clayton Moss of Kentucky won the one-meter event with a score of 725.00. Carolina sophomore Dean Emmerton also reached the finals and placed 18th with a score of 514.70. Freshman Ian Balman was 31st in the prelims scoring 203.00.

The top eight divers in each the one-meter and three-meter competitions qualify for the NCAA Championships. Once qualified on one board a diver is qualified for the entire event, and does not need to qualify again on another board. The NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will be held in Auburn, Ala. from March 20-23 with the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships March 27-29 in Austin, Texas.
