Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina baseball team looks to break a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night as the Gamecocks host Wofford at Sarge Frye Field with first pitch set for 7 p.m. South Carolina is 15-5 on the year and 1-2 in the SEC and ranked as high as 10th (USA Today Sports Weekly/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll) in the national polls. Wofford enters Wednesday evening’s contest with a 2-15 record.

South Carolina will start freshman RHP Conor Lalor (3-0, 1.47 ERA). Lalor has won all three games he has started for USC this year, including last Wednesday’s 5-2 win vs. Western Carolina. Lalor threw a career-high six and two third innings allowing just one run on four hits and striking out five batters. Wofford will start senior LHP Culley Kline (0-4, 12.94 ERA).

This Wednesday’s game marks the last game of an 11-game homestand for South Carolina. Carolina is 7-3 since the team began the homestand with a 6-4 win vs. Clemson. South Carolina travels this weekend to Knoxville, Tenn. for a three-game series with Tennessee. Friday’s first pitch is set for 7 p.m. ET. Saturday’s game time has been changed to 7 p.m. with the game being broadcast on CSS.
