Logan, UT – The University of South Carolina improved to 10-4 overall with a 6-1 win over Utah State on Friday afternoon in Logan, Utah. The match was the second straight win for the Gamecocks since losing three straight matches to nationally ranked opponents.

South Carolina started the tone early by taking all three singles matches. Carolina took the number one and two doubles by scores of 8-3 while Catherine Brown and Justine Walsh took care of business on court three and sailed to a 8-1 victory over their opponents.

In singles, USC took five of the six matches. The Gamecocks only loss was at number six singles. The match was shortened because of the Gamecocks having to travel to Provo, Utah for their match on Saturday.against BYU. The Gamecocks face BYU tomorrow at 2pm in Provo and on Sunday the Gamecocks face the Utes of Utah in Salt Lake City.
