The 34th ranked University of South Carolina tennis team will try to pull off two upsets this weekend facing 6th ranked Georgia on Friday and 11th ranked Tennessee on Sunday. The Gamecocks enter the weekend with a 12-6 record overall and a 5-3 mark in conference play. The Gamecocks are 5-4 on the road this season.

Georgia enters the weekend with a 13-1 mark overall and a 8-0 record in the conference. The Bulldogs line up features the number one ranked player in the nation in Agata Cioroch. The Volunteers are tied for 2nd place in the East with the 5th ranked Florida Gators. Tennessee plays Florida on Friday in Knoxville. The Vols enter this weekend’s matches with a 17-4 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the SEC. The Lady Vols are led by Vilmarie Castellvi who ranks third in the country.

The Gamecock took the last meeting 4-2 against the Bulldogs in the SEC Tournament. USC was the only SEC team to defeat Georgia last year but the Bulldogs lead the overall series 23-9 and they hold a 6-2 advantage in Athens.

Last season USC swept the two matches played against the Volunteers but the Lady Vols hold a 11-9 lead in the series. In Knoxville, Tennessee leads the series 4-1. The live stats can be tracked with Tennessee on Sunday on the Lady Vols webpage at www.utladyvols.com.
