Knoxville, TN –
The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team faces the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday at 11am at the Goodman Tennis Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Gamecocks enter the match with a 13-9 record overall while the Bulldogs are 14-3 overall.

The Gamecocks won their first round match 4-1 against the Auburn Tigers on Thursday at the Knoxville Racquet Club. The win ended USC’s four match losing streak. The four losses were all against SEC teams that are ranked in the ITA’s Top 20. The Bulldogs received a bye by being one of the top four teams in the regular season. Georgia is coming off of a 7-0 loss to Tennessee last Saturday in Knoxville.

Last year in the SEC Women’s Tennis Tournament the Gamecocks up-set the Bulldogs with a 4-2 win in Columbia and Carolina looks to repeat the effort despite losing the regular season match 7-0 in Athens.

The USC-Georgia match is scheduled to begin at 11am. Live scoring can be found on Tennessee’s website, www.utladyvols.com.
