The University of South Carolina received their ninth consecutive NCAA tournament bid on Wednesday. The Gamecocks (13-10) head to Durham, North Carolina to face Pennsylvania (15-5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament while Duke will face Winthrop. The streak of nine straight is the longest active streak of any USC women’s team.
Duke (26-2) is seeded third overall in the tournament and will battle Winthrop (19-1) on Friday, May 9 at 2:00 PM in the Ambler Tennis Stadium. The Gamecocks will take on Penn at 10:00 AM on Friday in the first matchup. The winner of both matches will play on Saturday, May 10th at 4:00 PM. The subregional winner will advance to the round of 16 in Gainesville, Florida on May 15th.
