Columbia, S.C. – Jodi Fittro, a senior from Riverside, Cal. was named to the 2003 Southeastern Conference Softball All-Tournament team by the SEC on Tuesday morning. The award is the second time that she has been named to the all-tournament team as she was also a member in 2001.

Fittro, the Gamecocks centerfielder, led all South Carolina batters with a .455 batting average in the tournament and drove in three of the five runs that USC scored in three games. Fittro has been consistent on both sides of the ball. She is batting .285 heading into the NCAA Tournament with four home runs, and 31 RBI’s in 56 games this season. On the defensive side, Fittro has been even more solid. Fittro has started 183 consecutive games for the Gamecocks dating back to 2001. She has committed only seven errors in 185 chances.
