USC rising junior Alex Hamilton shot a 137 during a two-day U.S. Amateur Championship sectional qualifying at the Country Club of Orangeburg in Orangeburg, S.C. Hamilton joins William McGirt as the lone players at the sectional meet to qualify for the U.S. Amateur Championship.

Jason Huguet, a senior to be from Greer, S.C. finished as the third alternate during a sectional qualifying tournament at River Run Golf and Country Club in Davidson, N.C. This years U.S. Amateur Championship will be held Aug. 18-24 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa.
