Columbia, S.C. – In the rain-shortened Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville, Tenn., the South Carolina men’s golf team finished in third place with a two-round score of 580 (290-290). South Carolina placed the highest of the Southeastern Conference schools.

UAB led the 18-team field after carding 563, while Texas A&M finished second with 577.

The Gamecocks placed two players in the top ten. Junior Martin Rominger tallied three-under-par 139 to place fourth. The Stavanger, Norway, native shot one-over-par 72 in the first round and blasted four-under-par 67 in round two.

Firing 143, sophomore Eirik Johansen tied for seventh place. Johansen shot even-par in round one, followed by 72 in today’s round.

Matt Robinson tied for 31st after shooting 148. Teammates Nash Elliott and West Streib tied for 53rd with a two-day total of 152.

UAB’s Chris Cousins tied with Stephen Reed from Texas A&M for the individual title after posting 136.
