Franklin, Tennessee – The University of South Carolina women’s golf team shaved two strokes off the team score Saturday as the five Gamecock golfers combined for a total score of 303 at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee. South Carolina is now tied for 12th place with North Carolina with a two-day total of 608 (32-over-par).

UCLA continues to lead the 17-team field after two days with a 576 (even par). Arizona’s Erica Blasberg paces the field with a five-under-par 139.

Sophomore Laura McCaslin led the Gamecocks Saturday with an even par 72. The Cookeville, Tennessee native is tied for 16th place with a three-over-par 147 after two rounds. Team captain Adrienne Gautreaux is 33rd with a six-over-par 150. Teammates Marci Robinson and Kory Thompson (competing as an individual) are tied for 59th place at 11 shots over par (155). Tiffany Catafygiotu is 65th with a two-day total of 156 (+12) while Erica Battle is tied 73rd with a 15-over-par 159.

The Gamecocks start the final round Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
