The South Carolina men’s soccer team returns home on Wednesday evening to host Elon with the match set for 7 p.m. at Stone Stadium. Carolina enters the match with a 7-3 record and ranked 25th in the latest Soccer Times poll. Elon is 3-5-1 and 1-1-1 in the Southern Conference this season.

Carolina is a perfect 5-0 at Stone Stadium this year and 1-0 in series history vs. Elon. The Gamecocks defeated the Phoenix 5-1 on Nov. 11, 2001 in the only previous meeting between the two schools. South Carolina has outscored its opponents 20-8 this season including a 14-1 edge in home matches. The Gamecocks own four consecutive shutouts at home entering Wednesday’s contest.

Carolina will also host Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. before heading on the road next week with matches at Charlotte and Furman.
