Columbia, SC – More than 30 University of South Carolina student-athletes participated in the Home Works Day of Service on Saturday, Oct. 18. Members of the Baseball, Softball and Track and Field Teams worked on the all day service project. Team Gamecocks joined a number of groups from local churches and Fort Jackson.
The group re-roofed two houses near Columbia College. In this one day of service, Gamecock student-athletes completed over 250 hours of community service.
Home Works of South Carolina is a non-profit organization whose mission is to focus on providing home repairs to homeowners in need, assisting youth in their development and empowering communities to meet the needs of its members.
