Columbia, S.C. – University of South Carolina’s Danielle Wiggins earned her first national singles ranking on Tuesday, February 24th. Wiggins is ranked 85th in the country in the most recent NCAA Division I Singles Rankings. She is a sophomore from Jacksonville, Florida who has compiled a 9-6 record this season and has upset ranked individuals such as 56th ranked Emily Marker of Maryland in straight sets 7-6, 6-2 on February 7th. Last season, Wiggins went 21-13 overall and led the team in singles wins. She becomes the first ranked player for USC in singles since Kathy Boyanovich was ranked last season.
