Columbia, S.C. – Seventh ranked South Carolina (30-11, 9-9 SEC) heads back into SEC play this weekend hosting a three-game series with ninth ranked Ole Miss (32-12, 11-7 SEC) beginning Friday night at 7 p.m. at Sarge Frye Field. Carolina heads into the weekend series having won five of their last six games with Ole Miss coming into the contest after dropping six of their last seven games. Saturday’s game will start at 4 p.m. with Sunday’s first pitch scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

South Carolina leads the overall series with the Rebels 16-9 and have won the last three series played between the two schools in Columbia. The South Carolina pitching staff has not allowed a run in the past 19 innings and has pitched back to back shutouts. Following the 10 inning complete game, 1-0, shutout of Alabama Sunday by Matt Campbell, Zac McCamie and Harris Honeycutt combined Wednesday night to shut Wofford out 3-0. The Gamecock staff has recorded eight shutouts in 41 games season.
