Danielle Wiggins has set her sights on the 2004 NCAA Singles Championships in Athens, Ga. Wiggins is 15-8 on the spring at the number one dual position and posted a 21-12 record on the season. She will face Wisconsin’s Katie McGaffigan in the first round. McGaffigan is 22-16 on the season and ranked 73rd in the country. The two will face each other at 11:30am on Monday. The winner will move on to the round of 32 to face the winner of the Megan Bradley and Erin Burdette match. Bradley, a member of the Miami Hurricanes, is the number six individual seed while Burdette plays number three singles for the 2004 National Champions, Stanford Cardinal. If Wiggins wins the first two rounds she will earn All-American status.
