ATHENS, Greece – Another blazing hot day at the Athens Olympic Stadium, USC graduate Terrence Trammell advanced to the semifinals of the men’s 110m hurdles to be run on Thursday night. USC alum Aleen Bailey finished fourth in the finals of the 200m.

USC volunteer coach Allen Johnson did not finish his hurdles race, crashing after the fifth or sixth hurdle and literally sliding under the next hurdle.

Trammell hit a number of hurdles on the way to finishing third in his heat, advancing to the semi-finals on Thursday night with a time of 13.34. Trammell won the silver medal in 2000 and now trains in Atlanta, Ga.

Bailey finished fourth in the 200m tonight in the finals for Jamaica. She ran a time of 22.42. Bailey was fifth in the 100m three nights ago.

Bailey is expected to run on Jamaica’s 4x100m relay the next two nights.
