Columbia, SC – USC track and field athlete Keri-Faith Groover and men’s golf West Streib were selected to represent USC at the NCAA Divison I Student-Athlete Regional Leadership Conference to be held October 22-24 in Atlanta, Ga.

Groover and Streib are among 130 student-athletes, athletics administrators, conference representatives and coaches from Division I colleges and universities in the southeast region that will be meet at the inaugural conference. Modeled after the annual NCAA Leadership Conference held in the spring for over 300 student athletes in Divisions I, II and III, this conference will be the first NCAA conference held specifically for Division I student athletes.

The conference was created at the recommendation of the Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAC). It provides a forum for student-athletes to build partnerships, develop leadership skills, and discuss Division I issues that impact student-athletes, while allowing them to discuss these issues with peers, member institution athletics administrators and athletics conference administrators.
