The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team will be traveling to Las Vegas this weekend for a tournament with some of the countries elite programs. Other than USC, athletes from #1-ranked Stanford, #2 Florida, #5 UCLA, #7 Southern California, #13 Georgia, #15 California, #18 Tennessee, #38 Arizona State, and host school #46 UNLV will compete.

The third annual Freeman Memorial Women’s Tennis Championship at the Fertitta Tennis Complex is scheduled to begin on Friday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and the championship matches on Sunday are TBA. The event features two flights each of both singles and doubles along with consolation rounds. The tournament will feature five of the nation’s top 21 players in the country and two of the top five doubles teams in the nation.

After playing in the Freeman Memorial, USC will open up the 2005 dual season on February 1st against Furman.
