Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina baseball team (29-9, 9-6 SEC) departs to Tuscaloosa, Ala. this weekend for three game Southeastern Conference series with the Alabama Crimson Tide (27-12, 9-6 SEC). Central Daylight game times are 6:30 p.m., Friday, 3 p.m., Saturday, and 2 o’clock on Sunday. The series with Alabama dates back to 1973 and South Carolina holds a one game advantage with 18 wins to 17 for the Crimson Tide. South Carolina won two of three games at Columbia last year including a 1-0 win in 10 innings in the Sunday game. Friday and Sunday’s games will be televised on CSS-TV with Saturday’s game on FOX Sports Net South and SEC-TV.

WHAT’S NEXT
South Carolina does not have a mid-week non-conference game during the coming week. The Gamecocks will entertain Auburn at Sarge Frye Field next weekend. Eastern Daylight game times are 7 p.m., Friday, 4 o’clock on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. The following week South Carolina plays Furman in Greenville on Wednesday night (May 4) and then travels to Knoxville for a conference series with Tennessee May 6-8.
