Brno, Czech Republic – South Carolina rising senior Olga Gritsaeva just missed a double-double when she scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Russia’s 78-59 win over Belgium at the FIBA European Championship For Under-20 Women Thursday. She also distributed a team-high four assists.

For the tournament, Gritsaeva averages 8.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Those numbers have increased to 13.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in her last two contests.

Russia faces Germany Saturday in the beginning of the double-elimination portion of the tournament. The two teams met on July 2, with Russia claiming a 62-51 win.
