Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team released their 2005 fall schedule on Monday morning. The Gamecocks will participate in five tournaments this fall including the Southern Intercollegiate Tournament in Columbia from October 28-30.

The Gamecocks will kick-off the season with the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C. scheduled September 30 – October 2. After the trip to Furman, the Gamecock netters will pack their bags and head to the Big Apple for the 2005 USTA National Collegiate Invitational. The third tournament of the fall season is the ITA Southeast Fall Regional, which will be held in Chapel Hill, N.C. from October 13-17. After two weeks of rest, Carolina will host the 2005 Southern Intercollegiate. The Gamecocks will close out their 2005 fall schedule with the SEC Fall Coaches Classic in Peachtree City, Ga.

Carolina returns seven players, including five of the six starters from the 2005 season when they went 15-9 and finished the season ranked 23rd in the country.
