BALLYMONEY, Northern Ireland — University of South Carolina sophomore Mike Gustavson and the United States Under-20 team will compete in the final of the Milk Cup Tournament on Friday. By defeating Wales, 3-0, on Monday and playing to a 2-2 draw with Denmark on Wednesday, the U.S. team finished second in the group with four points, good enough to move on the final.

The Red, White and Blue will face Paraguay, which finished atop the six-team group with six points, in the Elite Group Final on Friday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. ET at the Colerain Showgrounds. The final will be broadcast live online at bbc.co.uk. The U.S. will be looking for its second straight Milk Cup trophy after taking home the title in 2005.

Gustavson started in goal in Wednesday’s match against Demark. The Aiken, S.C., product made one save in the 2-2 tie.

Paraguay beat Northern Ireland, 3-1, in its opening match and secured a 3-2 victory over Wales on Wednesday.
