The South Carolina men’s soccer team (8-1-0, 1-0-0 C-USA) is No. 6 in this week’s National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America Poll, which was released on Tuesday. The Gamecocks jumped five spots from No. 11 last week.

Four Conference USA teams appear in this week’s poll, led by top-ranked and unbeaten SMU (10-0-1). Memphis (7-2-0), a team that the Gamecocks defeated on Sunday, 2-1, in double overtime, remains at No. 15 while UAB (5-3-1) held steady at No. 25.

South Carolina appears in all four of the national polls this week. In addition to its No. 6 ranking in the NSCAA poll, Carolina is No. 11, according to Soccer Times and College Soccer News. The Gamecocks are also No. 21 in the Soccer America poll.

South Carolina welcomes UAB to Columbia Wednesday night for a match that will be nationally televised tape-delayed by CSTV. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and the first 400 fans to arrive at the match will receive a free Carolina Soccer scarf, courtesy of adidas.
