The University of South Carolina men’s golf team is set to compete in its final event of the fall, the CordeValle Intercollegiate, on Monday, Nov. 6 and Tuesday, Nov. 7. The 54-hole stroke play tournament hosted by UCLA will be played at the Par-72, 7,119-yard CordeValle Country Club in San Martin, Calif.

The Gamecocks’ lineup for CordeValle includes sophomore Florian Fritsch, junior Warren Thomas, freshman George Bryan IV, junior Mark Anderson and redshirt sophomore Patrick Cunning.

“We are excited to have Florian back in the lineup after his play last week in the World Amateur representing Germany,” South Carolina associate head coach Bill McDonald said. “This is our fourth different lineup in four fall events. I think that a good portion of our team is gaining tournament experience in the fall will definitely pay off next spring when the stakes are higher.”

Fritsch helped his home nation of Germany to a share of 12th place in the World Amateur Team Championship, Oct. 26-29. Fritsch tied for 35th on the individual leader board, which featured more than 200 golfers representing 70 countries in pursuit of the Eisenhower Trophy.

The host Bruins and South Carolina will be joined by Arizona, Arkansas, Augusta State, California, Costal Carolina, Lamar, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, South Carolina, Stanford, TCU, Southern California and Washington at CordeValle.

Live scoring will be available online throughout the event at www.golfstat.com. South Carolina will tee off at 12:24 p.m. ET on Monday.
