The University of South Carolina Equestrian team will honor seniors Jess Boll (Ada, Mich.), Kelley Campbell (Keysville, Va.), Ellen Hogate (St. Charles, Ill.), Carly Johns (Woodstock, Ga.), Sarah Lowe (Augusta, Ga.), Caitlin Sands (Lebanon, Pa.), Claire Sharp (Augusta, Ga.), and Rachel Sternoff (Redmond, Wash.) Saturday as they host the Georgia Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. ET at OneWood Farm in Blythewood. Fans are encouraged to come early, as the senior ceremony will begin at 12:30.

The Gamecocks, coming off a heartbreaking loss to defending national champions Auburn, are 6-2 on the year, with the Hunt Seat team posting a sterling 8-0 record, while the Western team is 2-6 on the year. The Bulldogs remain undefeated this season. The last time the team met, Georgia edged USC 9-6.

“Year in and year out Georgia is always our stiffest competition and I expect they will be very prepared tomorrow. The weather has set us back somewhat this week but I think we are in good shape for the meet tomorrow,” Head Coach Boo Duncan said. “It is senior day and we want to send our seniors off with a BIG “W” for our last home meet of the year. I encourage everyone to come out and see what Gamecock Equestrian is all about. It will definitely be a close and exciting competition to watch.”

Seniors Lowe, Johns and Campbell will lead the Gamecocks in equitation on the flat. Also competing will be junior Kristen Terebesi (Glenmoore, Pa.) and freshman Carly Babcock (Deer Harbor, Wash.). In equitation over fences, the Gamecock riders will be Terebesi Sarah Stephens (Chalfont, Pa.), LIndsey Pace (Camden, S.C.), Nicole Bourgeois (Sherwood, Ore.), and Megan Massaro (Summerfield, Fl.).

In the Western division, Co-captain Sternoff will lead USC competing in both horsemanship and reining. Also riding for the Gamecocks in horsemanship will be Allison Bradley (Lancaster, Cali.), Katy Biffle (Orange Grove, Texas), Katie Grossnickle (Winona Lake, Ind.), and Kristina Papendick (Rapid City, S.D.). In reining, Bradley, Biffle, Lindsay Williams (Sand Springs, Okla.), and Rebekah Roof (Lexington, S.C.) will compete for the Gamecocks.

The Gamecocks will have two weeks off before facing TCU March 31 in Forth Worth.
