Jackson scored the second run of the game when she led off the third with a single and came home on an RBI single by Leslie Klein. Klein went 0-for-3 in game one only to go 2-for-2 in game two.

Pouliot and the Gamecocks kept things under control until the fifth when LSU unloaded the hits. With one out, the Tigers combined for six hits, including three doubles and a home run to post the six runs and the run-rule victory. Tayl’r Hollis recorded a two-RBI double and Kristen Hobbs followed with a two-run home run, her sixth of the season, to put LSU up 6-0. The final two runs came on RBI doubles by Andrea Smith and Quinlan Duhon to make the final score 8-0.
