Columbia, SC – As part of the International Freedom Games at North Carolina A&T, South Carolina’s track and field teams posted a win in the women’s pole vault as Thomas Hilliard also posted an improved regional qualifying time in the 400m hurdles. The meet continues through Saturday.

Sallie Gurganus vaulted 11′ 6 ¼ to win the women’s pole vault.

Hilliard improved his NCAA regional time by finishing third in the 400m hurdles at 50.49. He was the top collegiate in the race. His time is the fourth fastest in the country.
