Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior designated hitter Phil Disher has earned Pro-Line Athletic NCBWA All-America honors as announced on June 13. A third-team selection, Disher hit .328 with 15 HR and 63 RBI this season in 64 games for the Gamecocks. He also led the team with 25 multi-hit games on the year and tallied 16 doubles as well. Disher was a 45th round MLB Draft selection by the San Francisco Giants last week.

Pro Line Athletic is in its third year as a sponsor for the NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association). It produces and distributes plaques for National Hitter and Pitchers of the Week during the regular season and last season extended its award production to include plaques for each member of the Pro-Line/NCBWA All-American team.
