PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — South Carolina junior Gira Schofield and sophomore Ana Marija Zubori fell in the first round of qualifying at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Tuesday. The two also lost their doubles match.

The day began with an 8-3 loss to Lauren Liu and Samantha Murray of Northwestern. Schofield then lost 6-4, 6-2 to Georgia Tech’s Whitney McCray and Zubori dropped a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(4) decision to Lauren Macfarlane from Florida State.
