South Carolina equestrian returns for final competition of the season when they host Georgia Saturday, Nov. 3, at OneWood Farm in Blythewood. The competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

“Our competitions with Georgia are always intense,” head coach Boo Duncan said. “Georgia has a very good team on both sides and we know they will be bringing their `A’ game. I hope we can bounce back from a disappointing weekend last week and give it all we have against them.”

Last year, the teams met two times in dual competition with the Gamecocks going 1-1 against Georgia.

This competition marks the final fall season for seniors Lisa Bourbonniere and Ciara Stuart. Both seniors will be demo riders Saturday.

“It has been a real pleasure to have Ciara and Lisa as part of our team for the last four years. Both of them have really given the team their all and we will be sad to see them graduate in December. I know they will be successful in whatever endeavors they encounter and I wish them all the success in life they so richly deserve,” Duncan said.

Riding for the Gamecocks in equitation will be senior Kristen Terebesi, junior Sarah Stephens, sophomores Megan Massaro and Alex Haskell and freshman Victoria Middleton. In equitation over fences, Carolina will ride senior Kristen Terebesi, junior LIndsey Pace and sophomores Megan Massaro, Nicole Bourgeois and Eleanor Kunsman.

On the Western side, Carolina will ride seniors Allison Bradley and Katy Biffle, junior Katie Grossnickle, sophomore Amy Biffle and freshman Hailey Thornton in horsemanship. Bradley will also ride in reining along with senior Lindsay Williams, junior Rebekah Roof and freshmen Chloe Gray and Kyla Thurlow.
