COLUMBIA, S.C. — Yevgeny Supeko from the South Carolina men’s tennis team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Supeko captured two victories this weekend at the No. 1 singles position, defeating Felix Bernhoerster of Charlotte, 6-2, 6-1 and Falviu Simihaian of Davidson, 6-3, 6-4. The wins improved Supeko’s overall singles record this season to 4-0.

Supeko also competed at No. 1 doubles with partner Diego Cubas. The duo improved their doubles record to 4-0 on the year, defeating the team of Jeff Archer and Jesse Hutchinson from Charlotte, 8-1.

South Carolina returns to action this weekend, traveling to No. 11 Wake Forest on Sunday at 1 p.m.
