BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior outfielder Jessica Josker picked up second-team Preseason All-SEC accolades from the coaches, as the league office released the first preseason individual honors in history.
The San Jacinto, Calif., native is nearing spots in Carolina’s top 10 in various offensive categories, including hits, doubles and triples. She ranked second on the squad a year ago with 11 doubles while standing fourth in runs scored and batting average.
Outfielders Brittany Morgan of Alabama and Kim Waleszonia of Florida were the only unanimous selections to the first team. The Crimson Tide had four players make the first team and three others make the second team, tops in the league. LSU had three first-teamers.
The Gamecocks compete this weekend in the USF Louisville Slugger Tournament in Tampa, Fla.
