Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior outfielder DeAngelo Mack has been selected in the 13th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Mack was the No. 405 overall pick by the New York Yankees.
Mack earned second team All-SEC honors leading the team with a .361 batting average (92-for-255) with 14 HR and 60 RBI as well. His 92 hits are the most by a player in the SEC this year with his .361 batting average sixth highest in the country. He also was 11th in the conference in on-base percentage at .452.
