Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina catcher Justin Dalles has agreed to terms and will sign a contract with the Baltimore Orioles. Dalles was selected in the sixth round of the 2009 MLB Draft, the fourth time in Dalles’ career that he has been drafted. Dalles is scheduled to report to the Aberdeen IronBirds of the New York-Penn League.

Dalles earned second team All-SEC honors this past season hitting .324 (60-for-185) with 39 runs scored. He also hit 15 HR and finished with 47 RBI. He was also part of the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team after a tremendous weekend in Greenville, where he hit .589 (11-for-19) with three HR and 10 RBI.
