BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – South Carolina senior outside hitter Ivana Kujundzic garnered recognition on the 2009 Preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team, the league released today.

The Subotica, Serbia, native led the Gamecocks and ranked third in the SEC with 3.61 kills per set last year and stood in the top 15 in the league in four different statistical categories. She has led South Carolina in kills each of the last two seasons, both of those ranking in the top five in Carolina history during the rally-scoring era. A two-year starter, Kujundzic earned AVCA Honorable Mention All-South Region accolades last season.

Florida led all teams with three student-athletes on the nine-person listing. Kentucky was the only other team with multiple representatives, landing two.

The Gamecocks open the 2009 season on Friday, Aug. 28, at archrival Clemson, with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
