MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of South Carolina men’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss in overtime to Memphis in the final regular season contest for both schools on Saturday evening.
The loss drops Carolina’s record to 7-8-3 for the year, including a 2-4-2 mark in C-USA action. Memphis improves to 7-7-2 with a 3-5-0 mark in league contests.
Memphis collected the one-goal victory on a successful penalty kick three minutes into the first overtime period.
South Carolina will not advance to the four-team Conference USA Tournament. Tulsa collected its third-consecutive C-USA regular season title with a victory over Central Florida on Saturday evening.
