COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina volleyball team hosted its second Fan Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday, as many of the team’s most ardent supporters joined the players for the final time for 2009.

After drawing names earlier in the week, the Gamecocks each said something about one of their teammates and gave them a gift, most of which were handmade. Some of the highlights were a specialized Do Not Disturb sign for Brandi Byers, some gum for Megan Laughlin and an old shoe with some memorable lines and moments written on it for Hannah Lawing. The program then shifted to highlight the seniors, as the underclassmen talked about one of their four teammates who will be moving on after this season.

The highlight reel put together by associate head coach Damian Elder wowed the audience for the second year, as some of the preseason scavenger hunt clips made it alongside game and practice action shots in the production. Head coach Ben Somera came forward for the finale, presenting Sarah Cline, Bridget Denson-Dorman, Ivana Kujundzic and Meredith Moorhead with framed jerseys from their final season.
