Hello fans!

We arrived back in Columbia late last night, and this morning I have been hitting the books preparing for an upcoming test. Since we will be on the road again this weekend, it is important to stay ahead of the game by getting ahead in class work.

Speaking of this upcoming weekend, I have had a countdown going since I found out we would be attending the Florida Atlantic University Strike Out Cancer tournament. Boca Raton, Florida, is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it a mere 40 miles from my hometown, but my older sister Hailey also attends FAU and is an outfielder for the Owls. My sister and I have shared a passion for the sport since I was 6 and she was 8. She got me into the sport at such a young age. When I was too young to play, I was her team’s bat girl. I am her biggest fan, and she is mine. We are the best of friends off the field, but once this Sunday rolls around, Hailey is the enemy, and I will show no mercy!

But before I can think about dominating in Florida, we have got two victories to claim this week. We will be home on Tuesday and Wednesday as we take on Charlotte & Campbell. Come support us at Beckham Field!

Go Gamecocks!

Editor’s note: All fans who bring a canned food item to donate to Harvest Hope Food Bank will receive a special admission price of $1. We hope to see you there.
