COLUMBIA, S.C. – Dijana Stojic from the South Carolina women’s tennis team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Stojic helped the Gamecocks to a pair of wins against top-20 teams in USF (20) and Arkansas (15). South Carolina also defeated LSU in its SEC opener to sit 2-0 in the league after the first weekend of play.

Stojic and teammate Ana Marija Zubori registered a pair of wins at No. 1 doubles against the 15th- and 18th-ranked doubles tandems in the country from USF and Arkansas. Stojic and Zubori are currently unranked and are 6-3 at the top doubles spot this season and 9-3 overall.

In singles, Stojic went undefeated at No. 2, winning two of her matches in three sets. Stojic leads the Gamecocks in dual match victories this year with an 8-1 record at the second slot and has won 11 of her last 12 matches dating back to the fall.
