Hey Gamecock fans!!!
First off I want to start by thanking everyone for coming out this weekend to support us and help us raise money to support finding a cure for breast cancer. On Saturday, we had a great crowd of over 650 fans. All of the money raised will be used to help the people suffering from this disease. Our entire athletic department helped by donating autographed items to auction off along with all of our game jerseys. Sadly, my family decided not to bid on my jersey, but it’s okay. The little girl who purchased it will probably get more used out of it than I would have.
This weekend was also Easter weekend. This was the first Sunday we have had off in what seems like forever, and I can’t tell you how amazing it was to have a day off and still not have to go to class. To celebrate Easter, I laid out by the pool with a bunch of friends and just hung out. The best part of Easter is that Lent is over. Finally after all the struggles, I can have what I gave up: cookies, cookie dough, and doughnuts. I have yet to even have one, but I will be fixing that sometime soon.
The week coming up is also going to be very exciting. We have a midweek game against USC Upstate and leave this weekend for Kentucky. However, the most exciting part of this week, MY BIRTHDAY! That’s right, on Wednesday I will be turning the big 21. I will be celebrating with a nice dinner and a cookie cake.
Again thanks to all of our fans, and we hope to see y’all at the rest of our home games.
