Columbia, S.C. –
South Carolina outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before Monday night’s MLB game between the Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium. Bradley is playing this summer on USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team. The Red, White & Blue had a morning workout at Kauffman Stadium and have the day off from competition after a sweep of Korea Republic this past week. Bradley and Team USA are back in action on Tuesday, July 20 against the Omaha Diamond Spirit at Creighton Prep HS in Omaha, Neb. Bradley will then return to Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, on Wednesday, July 21 in a game vs. the Japanese Collegiate All-Star Team.

Bradley, the 2010 College World Series Most Outstanding Player, was the Gamecocks’ leading hitter this past season with a .368 batting average (89-for-242) with 13 HR and 60 RBI. He also had a .473 on-base percentage and a .587 slugging percentage for the season.
