AUBURN, Ala. – Thunderstorms in the Auburn area forced day one of the War Eagle Invitational to end early with only two Gamecocks hitting the track before weather halted the events.

Laura Pramstaller was able to run the 1,500-meter invitational and placed 10th overall at a time of 4:58.60. In the other event contested with Gamecocks competing, freshman Emily Laurence claimed 11th in the javelin throw with a toss of 118-11 (36.26m).

The second day of competition will begin at 10 a.m. (ET) with the women’s hammer throw and men’s javelin, two events that were originally scheduled to be completed Friday night.
