COLUMBIA, S.C. — Markeshia Grant from the Gamecock women’s basketball team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Grant scored 14 of her career-high 22 points in the first eight minutes against Furman and shot a career-high 76.9 percent (10-of-13) against the Paladins. She tied for team-high honors in rebounding with eight, one short of her career high. Grant is now team’s top scorer at 10.4 points per game.
