“I was kind of excited to be out there and I got my opportunity to get to be there. I felt good and its always nice when you get some run support early on and we got that four-run first inning so I could focus on pounding the zone from there.

On getting back out on the mound…
“I was excited, actually really excited to get out there and it felt good, it was the first time in awhile. and I’ve been throwing good pens with Coach Meyers and working on some things and everything felt really good.”
3B LB Dantzler
On jumping out early and Joel Seddon’s performance..
“Top of the lineup did a good job of getting on early and we were able to get them in and it was good to get four after the first. Joel is a terrific pitcher and did really good for a freshman out there and handled himself well. I wasn’t surprised at all, he’s a great pitcher and did well in all of the fall and spring scrimmages.

“I though we had a good game tonight and we did some things well and we continue to pitch pretty good and got a great start tonight from (Joel) Seddon and Westmoreland was impressive. I thought Logan Munson was impressive as well, (Hunter) Privette went in for a batter, and we’ve used (Vince) Fiori a couple of times now. We did a good job on the offensive side, being able to get on base a little bit more, we got some two-strike hits tonight and we have been focused on that for the last couple of days and we’ve got to do a better job fighting when you’re down in the count and get a few more walks and try to even out the walk to strikeouts and give us a better chance on the offensive side. I thought it was a good game for us.
